Friday, Nov. 1, 2024 was the first day of the BigTwin Bikeshow & Expo in Houten, the Netherlands. We have been coming here for years as loyal visitors, but this year we had a different agenda. Our mission was clear; market research and wheel inspiration.
At the show, all the custom motorcycles immediately caught our eye, which we looked at with open jaws and stars in our eyes. Once we processed these, we soon arrived at booths of MotorcycleStoreHouse, Zodiac and other familiar names. Besides lots of custom parts, they also had some sweet wheels at their booths. But what pleased us, was that none of the exhibitors offered a similar concept to ours. We didn't notice many innovative products at all! Most of the products we have seen at trade shows in recent years.
A phat Indian FTR1200, ready for customization!
In addition to the product, we also looked at how the brands presented themselves. Once again, little has changed in recent years.
Most are quite traditional, and little innovative. Very static, and little interactive with the audience. There are even some whose exhibitors hang in a chair along the side, waiting for people to come to them.... Hmm....
We are currently working hard to present a tangible product in 2025, which we then want to exhibit at the BigTwin Bikeshow and Custombike show in Bad Salzuflen. From what we have seen, we should be able to excel in presenting this!
Nice combination of golden front fork, wheels and brake discs.
Among all the well-known ones, we also spotted some cool customizations. How about combined brake discs with gears or pulleys? This requires a bit more adjustments to the bike than a "standard" wheel change, but then you really have something to show off!
Or like the picture above; an aggressively styled golden brake disc. We love these kind of designs!

Conclusion
The concept of the Tulmo motorcycle wheels is something that we did not have encountered yet. We also cannot find our concept on the internet. This offers us great opportunities, especially if we present ourselves well. The lesson here for us; we have a unique product, but we have to present it well to stand out from the rest of the motorcycle parts on offer.
Disclaimer: The blog post below is our interpretation of the motorcycle exhibition. We approached the exhibition from the perspective of improving our products and presentation. This is our vision, which may differ from the opinions of others.
