The modular wheel concept

It's time to explain the concept more clearly. For some time now we have been working on the engineering of the concept, and it is all clear in our heads. In the meantime, there is also a bit more on “paper”, and it can be visualized.

As the poster shows, you need to specify the bike the wheels will go on (for sizing) and the wheel size you want to run. This may be different from the factory size. In this case, it is important to check that the new wheel size fits the bike.

Then you can play with the different models, colors and options. We design the components so that each model can be used for each size. Also, the basis of all components is the same, so each model can be combined with each other. Rim spoke 'A' can be combined with rim flange 'B' or rim flange 'C'. You can even use a different flange on the left side than on the right side. Each part can also be colored separately. So you can make a unicorn or a rainbow rim!

Talk about colors! We chose Cerakote as our base coat. It comes in a wide range of colors and finishes so there is always a color to match your bike.

In addition to spokes and flanges, you need to choose hubs. These can also all be combined. We have hubs for brakes, hubs for drive and/or blank hubs. To keep everything modular, we had to decide to make our own brake discs, sprockets and pulleys. This in turn means that we offer these as well and are free to design different models for them. All our parts are designed to standards and are compatible with standard chain or belt profiles.

The poster shows which properties of the components can be configured. This is the basis of our design. There are a number of other configuration options that are not shown on the poster. These are for example

  • Tires
  • valves
  • Bearings
  • Mounting materials

At a later stage, you will be able to design the wheels yourself using a configurator on the website. For now, you can contact us and we will make you a proposal, including 3D images.

We are curious to see what creations you can come up with! Share your crazy ideas in the comments!
